“Give Thanks” 5K

9:00 a.m. – 5K Race
Location: Wilderness Park – Frontenac, KS
Course: Fire trails combined with single track trails.
Description: Unofficial, untimed, unexpensive. FREE, as in no entry. We will mark a 5k course, but feel free to run more, run it twice, run all day. The goal is to unite area runners who want to get out and enjoy the trails with other like minded people, get off the couch, and not pay another entry fee for another ugly race shirt that they don’t need. Get the race atmosphere, without the burden on your checkbook. And even sleep in a little (as far as racing goes anyway) because we aren’t starting until 9am. Be there at 8:30 to register to win a prize to be drawn after the run. All participants will receive the following prize: Increase in cardiovascular health, an energy boost, and a healthy appetite for turkey, and a reduced feeling of guilt for that second piece of pumpkin pie. Entrants will be eligible to win prizes drawn at the end of the run.
